This course is for English/Spanish Court Interpreters. The student will learn the terminology used by the Expert Witnesses in cases involving Domestic Violence. This is a 2-day, 8-hour, Instructor-Led course on Firearms & Ballistics. This course is for English<> Spanish Court Interpreters. The emphasis is on the terminology used by the experts in cases that involve Firearms and Ballistics, and it requires advanced interpretation skills. The experts testify as to the different types of guns and bullets, on ballistics identification technology, internal, external and terminal ballistics. This course uses different videos, audio, illustrations, and games, because we believe that by using the same terms repeatedly in different contexts, help us memorize them.
This is a 2-day, 7 hour, Instructor-Led workshop. Is is very dynamic and developed for Court and Healthcare Interpreters. The goal is for the interpreter to learn and practice the terminology used by the expert witnesses in Sex Cases. Expert such as Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners, Criminalists, Forensic Interviewers, Law Enforcement, Forensic Psychologists, and Trauma Experts. It also includes a Sexual Assault Medical Examination Form, information on grooming and on Sexual Offenders conditions of supervisions.
